The project involves the design of the student center within the new masterplan for the campus of Taiyuan, developed by the Design Institute of SCUT. RBA has been responsible for developing one of the representative buildings with functions related to entertainment and leisure.

The building is signed in a sphere of 150 m in diameter. The scope defines the profile, the roof, the structure and the system on which are placed the radial functions. The scope defines the roof that can also become natural amphitheater for thousands of students.

The building is designed to maximize the use of renewable energy sources and passive. An example of sustainability within the campus of Taiyuan, a city closely linked to heavy industry and coal mining.
